There was this one story that solidified my perspective on life, it was a story that was in this prominent medical journal about this lady who got into a bad car accident. She had to get rushed to the emergency room and her heart flatlined shortly after arriving. She was clinically dead for a few minutes before she came back to and they finally stabilized her heart. The lady was awaken by a nurse in the room who was taking her vitals a few hours later. She told the nurse that she died, she continued to explain that there was this pressure and all of a sudden I was slowly rising, floating over my body and everything was getting brighter, looked down and was floating over the hospital, and saw a red shoe sitting on the flat top roof with the air conditioners up there, then all of a sudden sucked back in her body. Another nurse who overheard this conversation got one of the building maintenance guys to open up the roof. Sure enough when they went up there, there it was, an old red converse shoe. They took it back down to her, handed it to her, she hugged it intensely and said "Life does not end with death".
